Parit Sulong, Malaya. c. 1980. A truck travels north across the bridge over the Simpang Kiri River. Behind the trees in the background is the village which was the scene of intense fighting against the Japanese in January 1942. The plaque erected by members of the 2/19th Battalion AIF Association is on the abuttment where the truck is passing and the police station is visible over the left edge of the bridge.
